MY JOURNEY
Hello, all you beautiful people.
To start with:
“Arise Awake and stop not till the goal is achieved”
My name is Mohit Shukla, I am basically from Dharamshala, District Kangra. I am convent educated. I have done my graduation in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur.
Thereafter I have worked with Ambuja Cements Limited (proved out to be lucky enough to convert at least one job during campus placement drive… P.s. It was a miracle for me looking at my record during college time. Lolz).
Not satisfied with the job or in life whatever it was, I quit the job in less than 6 months period, cracked All India level exam of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited, a Public Sector Undertaking under Ministry of Power, Govt. of India (well proved out to be lucky again…. P.s. It was a miracle for me looking at my record during college time and thereafter in a job as I already mentioned earlier. Lolz)
Well, still not satisfied in life, I started preparing for State Services in 2017 along with the job and after 2 unsuccessful Prelims, I managed to convert the exam in my 3rd attempt and scored 7th rank in HPAS-2018. Subsequently, I got my appointment as Excise and Taxation officer/Assistant Commissioner State Taxes & Excise in HP Govt.
Well, there can be two takeaway from my journey, firstly, one should never stop working hard in his/her life and the second interpretation can be that either I am a misguided soul or I am never satisfied in my life (Lolz). Whatever the case may be, let’s consider the first takeaway “Never stop working hard in life”.
Well, the hardest part of my journey was my State Services preparation. It drained me mentally, physically and emotionally. I had to manage it along with my job which made it more difficult and interesting too. I still miss that phase of my life. I met few good people in my life who helped me sail through the process smoothly. Apart from my parents and my elder brother Rohit Shukla, my small group in SJVN (Shariff Engineers) and my lucky chap Prerna Thakur and mere dukh ka aur Mains answer writing ka Saathi Anjan Mahajan (P.s. I have lost many of my friends during the journey and ever after, it feels bad especially when you are very social). Guys, it is my humble request to you all that please be with good and motivating people during the process. (Safar Thora Lamba Hoga isliye ache logo k Saath nikaloge toh happy and positive rahoge)
Trust me it’s worth getting drained. This preparation helps you in growing and developing as a responsible human being and most importantly it shapes your personality. I can guarantee whatever the outcome will be, irrespective of whether one cracks the exam or not, the individual would always be a responsible, learned and valuable asset for society.
I am not sharing my strategy here (p.s. it would take another 2-3 pages and I do not want to bore you more lolz) but I am always available to guide and motivate you all (Facebook, Instagram and wastapp par kafi active hoo so it would not be hard to find me).
Lastly, Guys Focus on the journey, not on the results. Make your journey productive and trust me result would definitely be productive. Enjoy your preparation journey, consider each and every day of your life as God’s blessing and utilize it to the fullest.
My best wishes are always with you all Beautiful People:
“Work Hard, Have Patience and Stay Happy”
